Child Safety Policy

All children and young people have a right to feel and be safe. Respect Collective is committed to their safety and well-being. Many children and young people may have already suffered abuse or neglect, experienced homelessness or witnessed violence. Respect Collective has a responsibility to any child or young person using our service directly or indirectly to protect them from (further) neglect, physical, emotional/psychological and sexual abuse, racism, or discrimination. Whatever the circumstances, we have a responsibility to their safety and to prevent harm whenever this is possible. It is essential therefore that workers identify when and how harm might occur to children, and design appropriate harm prevention and minimisation strategies.
